Modernising design and software for an established website
We took on the hosting of East Midlands RFCA’s existing websites a few years back after their old web design company signalled it was shutting down, recently we were asked about modernising the software it sits on and updating the design so it could be easier to update and also kept secure on the latest technologies.
An important concept we had to keep in mind when re-designing the website was that the company had a lot of seperate branches and required various functionality implementing that all had to be represented without overwhelming the users, making the site easy to navigate while clearly directing the users to where they needed to be was always on our mind whilst designing.
To make the various areas of the site easier to manage going forward we also developed a custom WordPress theme and page builder to enable them to make changes to the website where they needed while not upsetting the coherence of the design, allowing them to just focus on the content.
