Providing a fresh new look for a large online shop with 3000+ products

Based just outside Nottingham City Centre, Emma Ball Ltd was founded back in 2001 beginning with a range of limited edition prints. Since then, the company has grown, now supplying lots of stockists across the UK and overseas with Quirky Gifts, Stationery, Homeware, Textiles, and Greeting Cards.

We were tasked with Helping the team at Emma Ball to move from their Magento based solution to a new WooCommerce site with a fresh design.

The Migration

Magento to WooCommcere

We managed the move on behalf of the Emma Ball team which involved migrating over thousands of previous orders, customers and products from the old Magento system to the new WooCommerce site. This was handled efficiently during the move so we could showcase the site in it’s test environment with the products in situe before pushing to the live site.

On top of this migration work the site was fully re-designed with a bespoke user interface and new content pages, all fully editable by the marketing team at Emma Ball.

Fuctionality

Learning from past lessons

When a client has had an eCommerce site in the past it’s always good to try and find any issues or functionality that can be added to cut down on manual processes within a business. The Emma Ball site takes care of so much:

  • Wholesale pricing and orders for B2B customers including easy bulk ordering.
  • Social media eCommerce/product feeds
  • E-mail marketing management
  • Product waiting lists
  • Retail customer wishlists
